This academic year a focus group of Y11 students have spoken to the teaching staff about tackling racism and Black Lives Matter. Our students want to reflect the discussions taking place in society to raise the profile of tackling racism within our school community. Attached you will find a condensed version of how to talk about BLM at home produced by our Y11s, as well as a longer version to help to support discussions about this important topic. We are very proud of Y11s for being role-models and upstanders and leading our staff in these discussions. Should your child want to become more involved in discussing BLM, Mr Ramsay runs a focus group with some of our sixth formers each Tuesday 3.15- 4.15 and would welcome more students joining. Any age group is welcome. Please see or email Mr Ramsay for more details.
Thank you for your support,
