A fantastic week for sport at Alsager School, with many competitive events taking place and lots of recreational PE too. It has been amazing to see so many pupils attending extra curricular clubs throughout the week from all year groups.
Firstly, congratulations to our athletes who compete for South Cheshire in the Cheshire School Athletics Championships on Saturday, notable performances from Arthur and Lucy who won their events and are through to the Mason Trophy. Good luck this weekend!
Wednesday saw our year 7 Intercollege Cricket competition, a great evening with an abundance of enthusiasm, congratulations to Dod.
On Thursday our year 7 and 8 Rounders teams represented school in the South Cheshire Rounders Tournament, a wonderful event, which saw some very strong batting performances and plenty of wins for each team.
Finally, Well done to the staff who participated in Staff Run Club on Wednesday evening, it was a hot one. The staff are a great group of role models to promote the importance of exercise and physical activity for well being.

- Tuesday – Year 7 and 8 Cricket Match vs Brine Leas at Alsager Cricket Club (selected pupils only, meet at sportshall at 12:30, parents to pick up from Cricket Club)
- Wednesday – Tennis Club (meet at the sportshall)
- Wednesday – Intercollege Year 8 Cricket (meet at Medwyn Jones)
- Wednesday – Cheshire School Minor Athletics Championships at Macclesfield AC. Good luck to the pupils who have been selected!
