It has been another great two weeks of sport at Alsager, especially Athletics both competitive and recreational.
W/B 19th June
On Wednesday, several pupils had the honour of representing South Cheshire in the Cheshire AthleticsChampionships. We saw some excellent performances and results. A huge congratulations to Isaac got 2nd in the 800m, well done to Tom and Louie who got 3rd in the shot putt and Javelin. A huge well done to both Cainwho achieved 4th in shot putt and to Tom who came 6th in the 200m. Well done to Norah who ran in a competitive heat in the 1500m. An excellent achievement for all pupils, well done!
On Thursday, it was fantastic to see a huge turnout at Athletics club with lots of pupils attending across all year groups to practise for Town Sports or recreationally take part!
W/B 26th June
This week was an exciting week as we took part in our big Athletic event of the year; Town Sports. Well done to the Alsager athletic squad who took part on Tuesday, it was a fantastic day with lots of participation and winners across the day. Congratulations to the whole squad who became South Cheshire Schools Athletics Champions, which is a huge achievement!! We secured a 2nd in minor boys, 2nd in junior girls and boys and 2nd in inter girls to gain this title!
A huge congratulations to Arthur in Year 9 who has qualified to run in the English Schools Nationals 1500m final on Saturday at Alexandra Stadium in Birmingham.
