PC Darren Daniels came in today to talk to some our Y8 students about road safety. Local residents have contacted the school in recent weeks to talk about the safety of our students when they are travelling home. Throughout lockdown more students have taken to cycling and walking and we have worked with the police to ensure that they are alert and aware of the dangers when they are in the village on their way to and from school. Students this morning looked at the importance of wearing helmets when cycling and being visible, wearing reflective strips as the light nights disappear. PC Daniels also talked about being aware of the surroundings and not looking at phones whilst walking.
