Year 9 students have competed in a Poetry competition supported by the Rotary Club of Alsager. They composed poems to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing with finalists from each class being invited to a tea party as the winners were announced.
Allan Smith, from Alsager Rotary, said: “The standard of the poetry was impressive. I enjoyed reading them all and I am delighted to be able to present the certificates and vouchers”. All finalists received congratulations and a certificate from Allan and members of Alsager Rotary Club. Three prize winners were awarded with a voucher.
