There were lots of smiling faces in school today when year 11 collected their GCSE results.
This year group have worked exceptionally hard with formal exams taking place again this year. The results they collected today reflected the commitment they had shown to their learning, and many will now be able to move confidently onto the next stage of their educational journey.
Headteacher, Andrea O’Neill is delighted: “It was lovely to see them all this morning and great to see that many will be returning to our Sixth Form. Their hard work has really paid off and there were a lot of exceptional sets of results across the board. Students coped admirably with the disruption to their learning and have been supported by our outstanding teaching and pastoral staff. We have a number of students moving on to local colleges to embark on other exciting courses; I am certain that they will thrive, and I wish them all well.”
The school continue to offer support to any students who need advice and guidance over the coming weeks. In addition, places are still available for anyone who does not have a post-16 course secured for September 2023 and would like to join their exceptionally high performing college.
