GCSE Results

There were lots of smiling faces today at Alsager School when Year 11 came to collect their GCSEs.  The atmosphere in school was joyous despite all of the confusion of the past week surrounding the way in which GCSEs were to be awarded.  Students at Alsager School were really happy with their results with many commenting on how they did reflect the work that they had put in over the course of their GCSE studies.  Many will now be able to move confidently onto the next stage of their educational journey.

“These students have had such a difficult time since March, with a great deal of uncertainty surrounding the exam process.  Staff at Alsager School worked hard to ensure that the centre assessed grades were fair.  It is a shame that the shine has been taken off them this week.  However, we know our students well and there are many who have achieved absolutely fantastic results which are thoroughly deserved.  There was a lovely atmosphere today and I hope that the students are able to celebrate their successes with their families and friends.  It was great to see them all today and many will be returning to our sixth form.  We have a number of students moving on to local colleges to embark on other exciting courses.  I am certain that they will thrive and I wish them all well.”

Alsager School offers support to any students who need advice and guidance over the coming weeks. In addition places are still available for anyone who does not have a post 16 course secured for September 2020 and would like to join our exceptionally high performing college.
