Dear Parents / Carers
As you are aware as from Monday 23/3/20, school is only open to ‘vulnerable pupils’ and the children of ‘key workers’. It is closed to all other pupils. We will be in touch over the next day or so with families of students who we think are ‘vulnerable’ and therefore should be attending our alternative provision here in school. We are still waiting for information from the government about ‘key workers’ and a definition of who constitutes a ‘key worker’. Based on the information we have at the moment, the list includes;
Anyone who works for the emergency services
- NHS staff
- Social workers
- Military personnel
- School transport staff
- Education staff
- Essential Adult Services
- Food Delivery / Transport staff
- Anyone working in the manufacture of ventilators
If you are a parent / carer who works in any of the ‘key worker’ categories above and requires a school place to help with childcare so you can fulfil your vital role, please e mail care@alsagerschool.org ASAP and give us the following information;
- Your name
- Your child’s / children’s names and form group (s)
- Your role / job and organisation
- Does your child currently receive school transport.
Please only e mail care@alsagerschool.org if you are a ‘key worker’ and require child care. You do not need to reply if you are a ‘key worker’ but do not need childcare.
