Today our year 7’s participated in a ‘Be Inspired’ careers day. Using the START careers programme to identify their qualities, skills, interests and job matches, the students completed an employability skills card as well as considering what motivates them to work.
Chloe Tatton and Ian Cottrill from Franklin Financial Management delivered a very interactive session with the students, linking a tower building team activity to the importance of career planning. Students will continue to have a focus on careers preparation using the START programme throughout the year.
