As we come to the end of the academic year, I would like to thank all parents and carers for your support this year. Thank you for all of the kind messages that we have received throughout the year. Staff really appreciate them, and we were able to share so many yesterday at our end of term staff meeting.
We have had many successes this year, but we are particularly proud of being the first winners of The Cornovii Cup. You cannot beat inter Trust competition, particularly when you win! A big well done to everybody who took part throughout the year.
We will shortly be announcing the winners of the much-coveted College Cup and Sports day Cup (The Marshall Cup named in honour of Mr Marshall, a former PE teacher, many of you will know). It is always a tense occasion.
I would like to also introduce our new main school Head Students: a huge congratulations to Elsie and Alex, currently in Y10. I am really looking forward to working with you next year and to implementing your exciting ideas. A huge congratulations also to Indiya, Y10 on being awarded The Allan Maclean Award, for acts of kindness and respect. This is much deserved.
Please keep a look out on our social media over summer. We will be hosting a ‘pop up PE shop’ where you will be able to come and get recycled PE kit. We will take cash donations only, but you can also do a ‘swap’ if you have PE kit you want to exchange. If you would like to make kit donations, come along on the day, but we will only accept clothing that is in good condition and clean.
It feels very fitting to have some sunshine today and I hope that it continues into the summer break. Whatever your plans for summer, enjoy and take care.
