It feels good to have made it to the end of a long and busy term. The site work that we have had ongoing this term will be completed for the new term.
We are delighted to announce that our new, state of the art, astro turf pitch is now completed and will be ready for use when we return in January. It uses the very latest technology in terms of base layers, infill and topping (the first pitch in the country to use eco-friendly materials, with no micro-plastics). This project would not have been possible without a very generous donation from one of our parents, who is also a local businessman and sports fanatic, Ian Donaldson. On behalf of the school, thank you Mr Donaldson, this pitch will make a huge difference to our site, our PE lessons and extra-curricular clubs. In order to protect the pile, flat soled shoes will not be permitted on the new pitch, football boots, moulded boots, astro boots or trainers must be worn.
The Parker building lift will be completed just at the start of the new term and work on the boiler (less appealing!) is also completed.
