Alsager Sixth Form students are celebrating their fantastic A level and BTEC results. They have persevered through really challenging times and despite the fearmongering in the media over the past week, there has been an abundance of top grades, with many students having a full suite of A*/A grades.
Their hard work coupled with the outstanding support from all staff is reflected in their amazing achievements and we are all really proud of them.
A large number of our students have yet again secured places at top universities and apprenticeships. Mrs O’Neill, Head of School, said: “Our students should feel extremely proud of their achievements, and they really do reflect the hard work that they put into their studies over the past two years. I am always amazed at the different pathways that our students take; it is fantastic to see them making the most of their opportunities, and I’d like to thank all staff and parents and carers who have made this all possible. We will miss the class of 2022, but we wish them all well for their future endeavours.”
Three students have secured places at University of Oxford and University of Cambridge to study medicine and maths. Popular university destinations this year are University of Liverpool, University of Manchester and University of Keele but our sixth form students have opted to study a wide range of subjects for example from psychology, business and German to ecology studies.
We have a number of students who are starting degree apprenticeships with Barclays, Deloitte and BAE systems and students who have followed traineeships have secured employment in a wide range of settings, including retail and the motor industry.
Staff are available this week to offer support and advice should any student require it.
