Good afternoon,
Thank you for your swift response to our very early message for all students in Y12 and Y13 to stay at home today. To allow us time to do ‘close contact tracing’ we will require all Y12 and Y13 students to self-isolate on Tuesday as well. On Tuesday I am hopeful that I will be in a position to allow the majority of the year groups back and only a smaller group of ‘close contacts’ will need to isolate. I will communicate this tomorrow. It is important at this stage that all students self-isolate until further notice. This will mean that they must not attend any clubs, go to work or socialise with each other. Whilst we are doing everything possible in school to reduce risk, our students must also ensure that they are following Tier 2 restrictions when they are not in school. All of our decisions are in accordance with Government guidelines and with each case I liaise very closely with the Public Health Team at Cheshire East. I appreciate how challenging this is but Covid 19 is clearly in our community and we all have a responsibility to help reduce the risk of transmission. All lessons tomorrow will be live lessons, unless your child has been instructed otherwise by individual teachers.
