We recently sent representatives to Staffordshire University as part of the Young Engineer of the Year (YEOTY) competition 2020 launch. The year 10 students, alongside Dr Hammond and Mrs Downey, spent the morning engaged in discussions with university scientists.
This year’s YEOTY competition involves sending a weather balloon into space, along with cameras to capture footage of the Earth from space. Additionally, the students are designing science experiments that can be conducted 100,000 feet up in the atmosphere, on the edge of space! The balloon will be launched from a nearby airfield in May. Good luck to you all in this project!
