Business Language Champions shared the importance of learning a language with year 8 dual linguists today.
After an inspiring talk about the importance of languages, students planned and pitched a music festival in a French or German speaking country.
Using target language, they built a 3D model of their festival site, interviewed their chosen foreign language celebrity, responded to questions from their local council, prepared a programme and designed a 30 second YouTube advert. They then pitched their festivals to each other.
Prizes were awarded for use of language, team work, collaboration and creativity. Students enjoyed expanding their vocabulary and learning about the high demand for languages other than English in the workplace.
