Year 7 and 8 students have a Reading Lesson once a fortnight and are encouraged to read for enjoyment and keep a Reading Log throughout the school year.
Reward tickets (Harry Potter tickets) are given to those students who read frequently, show enthusiasm for reading and keep their Reading Log up-to-date. These tickets are put into a draw which is held at the end of the academic year.
The ‘Harry Potter Reading Draw’ is a positive occasion when students’ reading is celebrated and rewarded. Years 7 and 8 thoroughly enjoy the event, waiting to see if they are fortunate enough to win a prize.
We can secure some fabulous rewards that we know our students will enjoy; Amazon Vouchers for £10, £15, £20, £25 and £30, vouchers for Monkey Forest, Hall Farm Shop, Stoke Ski Centre, Kilnworx Climbing Wall, and Dominoes Pizzas as well as many more!
